Better Late Than Never?

It has been a long time.  I may have even forgotten how to blog...but I’ll give it a try and see what happens.
Since I last wrote so much has happened.  Mom passed, I got one more granddaughter, I’ve beaten my depression and we’ve faced a divorce in the family.  Life happens, I guess.
I’ve passed the 70 mark and feel like I am on the dark side of the hill.  I also feel grateful to be here with my best bud, my husband.
It’s odd.  Something I never realized would happen.  Whenever I purchase something now, I think, “This is the last blankedy-blank I’ll ever buy.”  Actually I don’t buy much these days.  Except (sound the trumpets) for the new furniture in my living room.  Yup, after 15 years and alot of looking, we decided on the Edie Duo at Lazyboy, a nice product at a fair price.  And considering I still have dirty hands and a shedding granddog, the iclean fabric doesn’t hurt.
Fixer Upper’s Joanna and Chip Gaines inspired us to detach ourselves from a sagging couch and comfy but not pretty chairs.  All have good homes so the withdrawal wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
Now the hard part—-to convince hubby that certain pieces of furniture would be better off...elsewhere.  And then light his fire to get rid of a sizable collection of car hood ornaments that are taking up the greater part of our garage.  Getting either one done would be like winning a major battle.
I bid you adieu until my next post which may be soon.  This is kinda fun.
