Then Debbie Burak, founder of VeteranAid.org, introduced me to a custom woven throw made from a digital or print image.
This not only makes the ideal gift, it comforts:
Those who have lost a loved one
Children who have a parent deployed
Those in hospitals, rehabs, nursing homes or assisted living facilities
Those separated by distance
Those remembering their favorite pets
Those reminiscing about happier times.
Ms. Burak is extending a 10% discount to my readers if you enter coupon code TENOFF at the checkout.

Throws are very important in our house. I have one on every chair and sofa. Mom keeps hers tightly held in her hands. It makes her feel safe.
Great idea! Wrap your family around you!
A nice and unique gift to consider.
Adorable couple. :)
Glad you ladies like the suggestion. I think it would be fun. The photo is of my father-in-law (who passed in August) and mother-in-law. They were a very cute couple!
I love visiting my kids' homes where their throws are quilts that I have made. Done from photos or stitched with love, throws are like hugs.
Donna, I bet those quilts are the next best thing to grandma's hugs.
